The Bruce Grey Dogsledders (BGD) are active sled dog mushers residing in the Bruce & Grey Counties of southwestern Ontario, Canada. This association of dogsledders from across the Bruce Peninsula region was established in 2001 with the intent of getting local area mushers connected, communicating and engaged in sharing their outdoor passion for mushing. The members own their own sled dog teams and keep in regular contact during the winter season. They generally get together on winter weekends to participate in daytime, nightime and overnight recreational dogsledding treks that focus on exploring the regional trails within Ontario.

This website is intended to provide useful information to people interested in sled dog sports. It also chronicles the ongoing activities and adventures of the local area mushers.

While the BGD has no formal governing body, annual membership fees or regular meetings, its members collectively promote the sport of dogsledding and all related sled dog sports within the Bruce Peninsula region of Ontario. By general agreement, they are committed to the following objectives:
- To encourage active communication and ongoing dialogue amongst local area mushers.
- To organize recreational activities and educational events involving sled dogs.
- To develop, educate and support local area mushers in all aspects related to dogsledding.
-
To reinforce the principles of animal welfare and the need for proper sled dog care.
- To garner public interest, understanding and acceptance of sled dog sports.
- To foster recognition and accommodation of sled dog sports in recreational planning at the national, provincial & municipal levels.
- To advocate dogsledding as a compatable user group in the establishment of multi-use all-season recreational trails on public lands.
- To provide a voice for local area mushers that represents their collective interests and protects their legal rights.
